Warehouse expansion ribbon cutting & celebration

Furniture Mission of the Red River Valley (FMRRV) is celebrating their recent warehouse expansion at their warehouse on Friday, April 28th between 3:00 and 5:00 PM, with a brief program and ribbon cutting ceremony at 4:00 PM.
 
“This is an incredible milestone for not only us, but for the local families we serve,” remarked Jordan McCormick, Executive Director. “This is a reflection of how our community has embraced our mission.”

FMRRV was recently able to grow from 13,000 sq ft to over 17,000 sq ft, leaving more space for inventory to serve local families. The space is in the same building, but features a more furniture friendly orientation, additional loading access and updated commercial racking complements of Border States Electric. 
 
In 6 years of operation, FMRRV has served over 3,800 local families by providing over 50,000 pieces of furniture at no cost. The event is open to the public. Free will offering is appreciated.

About Furniture Mission of the Red River Valley:
FMRRV is a non-profit organization that has served Cass and Clay counties since 2020 by collecting gently used furniture and regifting it to local families in crisis. Clients are referred from a network of over 40 local agencies that provide a variety of human services including Churches United, YWCA, F5, Salvation Army, ShareHouse, SENDCAA, amongst others. People can support FMRRV with financial contributions, furniture donations, or by volunteering. Accepted furniture items include gently used mattresses, box springs, couches, chairs, tables, dressers, side tables and other items listed at www.furnituremissionrrv.org.
