GET INVOLVED.

Furniture Mission of the Red River Valley is a story in the making.  If you like "behind the scenes" tasks that connect to our mission of hope, we may be able to match your skills with our needs. If you like "in the trenches" and more physical tasks that make our mission happen, we would love to hear from you to explore a role that fits your abilities and time availability.  We truly are ALL IN THIS TOGETHER and there are many ways to GET INVOLVED.

Donate

Donations take many forms: time, talent, furniture, and financial, for example.  All of these make an impact and can advance our mission and we are so grateful for any way in which you can give.  Check out our needs list in the phasing below to see where your generosity can have the biggest impact in the moment.

VOLUNTEER

"People power" is the fuel of any non-profit.  We are most definitely in this arena as well.  We need volunteers for fundraising, grant writing, warehouse help, and even the pick-up and delivery of furniture/items.  We always can use hands, heads, and hearts to make our work happen!  To get started, fill out our volunteer form below.

Help connect us

One of the key ways in which you can help is to connect us with supporters!  It is likely you have heard someone say, "I wish there was a group that..."  Well, we are that group.  We give hope, make a house a home, and bring comfort and calm at a time of chaos...and we would love for you to make introductions/connections to help us make a bigger impact.

01: PHASE of Starting up

We mobilized a group to get started.

We did it!  We mobilized a group of passionate people to go through the process of defining a vision, mission, purpose, core values, and really dig into defining what we want to do...provide hope and home!  The next step was legal formation, registration, filing papers, and having board meetings/committee meetings.  We are now a registered 501c3 public charity!

02: PHASE of setting strategic Plan

We are working on a strategic plan & TIMELINE of service

We accomplished this! We achieved our first-year goals of securing a warehouse and a truck and hiring our first part-time employee, Stephanie Manesis (Director of Operations).  Our warehouse space of almost 7,000 square feet was donated by our benevolent landlord and Fix-it-Forward Ministries of Moorhead, MN donated a Cube Van for us to use for moving. We are on our way!

03: PHASE OF FundinG/operationS

WE are working on fund development

We are working simultaneously on fund development AND logistics of making things happen.  The reality of our work and our mission is that we are in need of money to jump into operation.  The work is done by people for people.  The work is done by having the resource of storage to manage the incoming donations and the outgoing "home creating and hope sharing" that happens with those we serve.  AND, the work is done via pick-up and drop off, which requires transportation.  OPERATIONS is our focus and FUNDING is what will make that happen.

04: PHASE OF OPERATING

WE ARE working step by step...timeline and goals coming soon...

We Promise You the Best...

Our Board and Committee members are dedicated to quality in the work that we have embarked on in forming, funding, and launching Furniture Mission of the Red River Valley.  We love to share our conversations, communications, and our efforts.  We also are proud to act with honesty, integrity, and transparency.  We promise to share with you the impacts you make and we promise to share the steps of our story.  As we continue to forge forward, we promise to show you our path where we are and where we are going.
